Kate and Owen are being together again since the last time they broke up which caused Owen Wilson to commit suicide before. Anyhow, Hudson family like her mom, Goldie Horn, she worries about this relationship between her daughter and Owen and she prefers her daughter to come back to her ex husband, the father of the son, again.

At the same time, Owen’s family also worries about Owen. They don’t blame Kate but they just worry that they if this relationship will not be working, Owen will do something bad like commit suicide again same as last time.
